One area I have made growth in this semester is stepping up and participating more often. I get up and write on the whiteboard when we get the chance in class. Also, I feel more comfortable speaking up in class so I raise my hand more often than I used to.
A praiseworthy product from math/science this semester is my bottle rocket and balloon powered car. The balloon powered car is one of my praise worthy products because for the car to get a passing grade it needed to go 7 meters and our car went 18 meters. Our balloon power car was also the second fastest car in the class, it went 1.2 meters per second.
Something I learned this semester in math/science that really got me thinking was the idea of perfection. I really didn't think anything was perfect in this world but after learning about the Fibonacci spiral and the Fibonacci sequence, I realized that everything is perfect. I figured this out when we went to Balboa Park on a field trip. We all drew a Fibonacci spiral on a clear price of plastic and we had to hold up the spiral in front of things and look to see if that object fit in the spiral. After doing this three or four times I figured out that you can make anything for in the spiral by simply changing your perspective. This made me realize that everyone and everything is perfect, you just have to change your perspective to see that.
