My role on making this video was editing and creating some of the images for the video. I edited the whole first version and helped write the script for the narration. I also created most of our storyboard and overall flow of the video. The work was split pretty evenly with one of us doing more of the narration and another doing the editing. We both worked on the drawings for the video.
I think I did well producing a solid first version. We put a lot of effort into the hand drawn animations and the computer animations. We did run out of time and had to use a lot of stock photos because we just spent too much time working on some of the drawings, but hopefully for the second version we will be able to take out some of the stock photos and use more animations.
I still need to improve in my editing skills. Especially when it comes to getting the right images in the right part of the voice over. Also, we want to improve the flow of the images on the video because at times it can be choppy and confusing. Some of the images can be going too fast, so we want to improve those moments. The last thing we want to improve on is lining up the voiceover with the images because there is some points where they don't line up perfectly.
Some challenges I faced were time management and figuring out what images we wanted to use. There was certain parts of the video where we didn't know what pictures to put in so we just put something that sort of went with the voiceover. For time management I think we could have finished the drawings faster so that we would have more time to edit and refine the video.
